Program for Pharmacists Licensure Examination

According to Wikipedia, pharmacists are healthcare professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective medication use. Given this, without pharmacists people will be in great dilemma as to what kind of drug to take, how much of it, or when to use it.

In the Philippines, thousands of soon-to-be pharmacists take the board examination every year. However, more or less half of them would not be able to achieve their dream and had to take the exams once more the next year.

Taken from the PRC or Philippine Regulatory Commission website, the following is the weighted percentage of the subject areas to be taken.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry - 20%
Pharmacognosy - 15%
Practice of Pharmacy - 17.5%
Pharmacology-Pharmacokinetics - 15%
Pharmaceutics - 17.5%
Quality Assurance/Quality Control - 15%
