Internet speed in the Philippines unbelievably shoots up sometimes during the day

Slow internet speed has been a thorn in every Filipino netizen's side since the onset of information age in the country. Yet, as far as I can remember, we had a better internet connectivity at the turn of the 21st century. Ironically, however, it has been growing worse as advancement in technology comes into existence.

While the Philippines is basking in the popularity of having one of the world's slowest internet speeds, the country's Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have obviously been doing something to live up to what they talk big in their ads as they are tagged as the culprit of this all.

Besides, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has also been looking into them to figure out if they could be held responsible for all of the misery experienced by every internet users in the country.

As the NTC has been looking into the plight of the country's internet by covertly making speed test in random places, Smart Broadband, one of the leading internet service providers in the Philippines, has been found to have increased its download speed by 2 to 3 mbps sometimes over the course of one day.

This is good news to every broadband owner, but the fact that internet connection improves only intermittently over a 24-hour period, we can't be certain whether or not this will go round the clock or will stop all of a sudden when the furtive eyes of the NTC will cut its probe short.
