7.2 quake commemoration all set yet trauma still lingers over a number of Boholanos

October 15, 2013 was not a lucky day for Boholanos as they suffered the wrath of nature not a living soul could foresee and prepare as it came to pass.

Two years later, Bohol gets back on its feet leaving memories that had been haunting the locals for a few months and is all set to commemorate the deadly 7.2 magnitude tremor on the 15th of October 2015.

While a couple of years have gone past, the trauma is still fresh for some survivors. One of them is Rica, 58 years old, is shaking like a leaf the moment she calls the unpleasant experience to her mind.

Rica suffered a broken kneecap after a concrete fence fell on her while she was clinging to it as the quake pummeled underneath. She was brought to the nearest hospital half-conscious. Luckily, she survived with only a minor operation to her knees.

The nightmarish experience lingers over and bothers her daily routines. But what keeps her from moving on is the fear that it may occur again and does something more terrible beyond her worst night terrors.
