Could It's Showtime get the better of AlDub phenomenon?

It's been months since "AlDub" mania made waves on the internet and television. And since then, the phenomena continues to make noise that AlDub followers have set record-breaking tweets several times.

It's showtime vs. Eatbulaga
Because of its popularity, Eat Bulaga, a noontime show which features the segment "Kalyeserye" whose characters includes the super couple Alden Richards and Yaya Dub or Maine Mendoza, has been head and shoulders above its rival "It's Showtime".

It's Showtime somehow managed to give itself a run for its money by coming up "Nasaan ka Mr. Pastillas?" featuring Angelica Yap who looked for a man who could give her love back. The segment run for several weeks, but wasn't that successful to dethrone AlDub.

Just recently, It's Showtime introduced an all-male dance group they called "Hashtags" which showcases papogi or hunky moves that girls can't help but yell at the top of their lungs.

It goes without saying that a greater portion of AlDub fans are women whom It's Showtime tries to win over by having this boy group in their show. And while there's no way to figure out if the group has got some AlDub fanatics on their side, it's clear that ABS-CBN is doing its assignment right.

Aside from Hashtags, Pinoy Big Brother love teams ToMiho (Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida) and BaiLona (Bailey May and Ylona Garcia) have also become a part of It's Showtime family.

With these new faces in It's Showtime and the kilig (a feeling of joy one gets when something romantic happens) they bring, another round of clash between ABS-CBN's noontime show and GMA 7's Eat Bulaga is starting to reveal itself.
